Modern Day Dukes of Hazzard

This is my favorite sport which is odd because it is no longer televised on Speed Channel and the only way to find out what is going on is through the web and the World Rally Car podcast.

So, what is so great about Rally Car? I am glad you asked!

First, it is raced in 16 different countries ranging from the dessert to suburban to winter wonderlands like Finland. The races draw fans upwards 250,000 to the events, which is amazing cause they are in some of the remotest places in the world. The drivers must race on road, off road, on snow and ice at 150 miles per hour. They have a navigator who tells them when to turn and how sharp the turn will be, because as you will see from the video at 150 miles per hour it is hard to tell when to turn left or right in the woods.

I love this sport!
