Sometimes in life you have moments were it appears time stopped, usually related to a marriage, a birth, a death and the moment you realize you have a relationship with God.

Then there was tonight, as I drove the boys home from dinner we were listening to some awesome praise and worship music together. Well, as we sang together in unison it was like nothing I have ever experienced, kind of like Thelma and Louise driving off the cliff. Except we were not ending something, but beginning something great!

It truly was an awesome experience I hope to repeat over and over. There is nothing like great praise and worship, except when you are doing it with the ones you love!

DENVER – Police say the man found injured on I-25 Friday night apparently leaped from a moving vehicle to avoid a verbal argument with his significant other.

The man was found injured on southbound I-25 just north of Colfax Avenue on Friday night.

Denver Police say the car was being driven by either the man's wife or girlfriend. They say the woman refused to stop or pull over during the argument, so the man jumped out of the moving car.

Authorities say the man suffered non-life-threatening road rash.


Now I only wish I had the fortitude to keep from fighting with my wife like this guy!

Twenty four years ago I met Patrick's Dad, Brian Whalen and have been friends with him ever since. Now twenty four years later my son is friends with his son and they are hanging out together at the same age Brian and I met. Now that is two generations of friends, too cool!

Ah the pleasures of being a Sultan!

Yes there are many advantages to being a Sultan and this is just one more of them, coming home to four women in your bed. That is right my own little harem. Seriously, Rachel had a little gurly night and had twenty of her closest girlfriends over. Maybe not twenty it was just as loud as having twenty.

Well after many pedicures, facials and haircuts later I have to say I really enjoyed the slumber party and look forward to the next as I need my eyebrows done!

I have to say I am so proud of him and blessed to have him as a son and the oldest.

As an oldest I understand the additional responsibility stress pressure and smothering love that comes with the title. That said, for all the teen angst in him Jared wears that title well and I Love him so!

He is a great kid, awesome brother and even better son, Happy Birthday Jazzy!

Welcome to Atlanta where the bags are made!

So I am on my way to ATL and I have to say I am excited and not. Excited cause I am going to the Braves Game. Not cause I use to live in ATL and sometimes miss it then I get in Traffic and NOT! That said it is a kewl town and I really appreciate my wife and kids allowing me to go, especially Jared who is celebrating his 14th Birthday today! How bad a dad AM I? Well I promise to make it up to him with his gift on Saturday, Stay tuned for that!

You are probably asking yourself what the title of this post has to do with the price of tea in China? Well I won the trip for selling the most trash liners in our division to the most number of customers. Yeah that is cheese, but hey did I mention the word FREE! I am too transparent?

No Rest For the Weary

Do you ever feel like no matter how hard you try you are never going to get caught up?


Well do I have the solution for you! It is, OK I don't have anything cause I don't believe there exists anything except margin. The only problem is that in order to get margin I have to have time to allocate to margin. It is kind of like the exercise where you fill the jar with rocks and then try and fill it with sand. If you add the sand at the same time as the rocks you can fill the jar. If you fill the jar with sand then try to fill it with rocks it does not work. If you fill the jar with sand after it still does not work. The only way is to add sand then rock, rock then sand until it is completely filled.

Where am I going with this? Well you see I think that I work my problems out best by blogging the answers out. And you just happen to be the victim of my problem.

I know what you did last summer!

Well I have to say Kudos to the Whalen Familia! We went this past weekend to Weeki Wachee (Yes, it is a real place and Yes, they have real live Mermaids and Yes, they really eat bananas and drink Coke underwater). They brought their deck boat and have a house on the water there. Although we did not see much of the mermaids, we fished and caught about 15 fish a piece and even two sharks! Jayden was the little fisherman though he caught 21 fish! We did a great deal of swimming and snorkeling and found a few scallops, although we through them back too. Finally, we ended the weekend at Pine Island with some ultimate Frisbee and volleyball. The weekend was a blast and will have pictures to follow...

Whats Missing?

Power Chords, thats right, clean, crisp, simple power chords the stuff that makes you grind your teeth and curl your toes with air guitar in hand. Cheese maybe but it is kind of like cowbell you just can't have enough tight a power chords! I love music!
